Responsibilities

As an API Specialist, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain gRPC and RESTful API specifications for our platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create API solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders, including trading and reporting purposes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, ensuring ease of use for developers and clients.
• Utilize tools like Postman to streamline API development, testing, and debugging processes.
• Implement API security best practices and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in API technologies.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Provide support and guidance to internal and external users on API-related matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in API design and development, with a strong focus on gRPC and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in using tools like Postman for API development and testing.
• Strong understanding of API security best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise API documentation.
• Knowledge of various ISO standards, W3C standards, and RFCs related to the HTTP protocol.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Some experience developing with high and low level programming languages like Rust, C/C++, D, Python, Perl or Javascript.
• Experience working on open source projects or contributions to the developer community.

Nice-To-Have

• Experience with other API technologies and streaming protocols.
• Knowledge of AI and/or machine learning concepts.
• Building APIs for trading and reporting purposes.
